The ingredients we source are as close to nature as possible.

We believe that naturally derived ingredients will assist in less adverse side effects and the most chirally correct solutions available.

Not only do we not use harsh or unethical ingredients, we source the most natural, raw ingredients possible that are not tested on animals.

If you have questions or require further information on our ingredients and their individual certification please feel free to contact us.

Some of our ingredients do not have a country of origin of Australia.

We try where ever possible for this to be the case, however some of the unique properties of individual plant-based ingredients cannot be cultivated naturally in our climates.

As we believe in only the best premium quality products at times we must use ingredients that have been cultivated and harvested in their natural environs.

Our products and our raw materials ARE NOT tested on animals.

In some instances, ingredients are unstable. Whilst we try to be as close to nature as possible some products contain synthetic compounds so that they can have a shelf life, be ready to use when you want to use them and be stable as well as skin compatible at the time of use.

Our ingredient index has x2 categories – GREEN denoting Natural Ingredients and BLACK denoting Safe Synthetics (many of which are derived from natural sources)

The product is still classified as natural and used in natural and organic cosmetic manufacturing. Sodium Hyaluronate is the salt form of Hyaluronic Acid, a water-binding ingredient that has the ability to fill the spaces between the connective fibres known as collagen and elastin. Sodium Hyaluronate has been used for moisturization and wound healing since its discovery in the 1930s. It is comprised of small molecules that penetrate the skin easily and can hold up to 1000 their own weight in water. Sodium Hyaluronate can replace some of the water lost in the dermis, and potentially fight wrinkles and other signs of aging.

Sodium Hydroxide:

Also known as lye, sodium hydroxide is a highly alkaline ingredient used in small amounts in cosmetics to establish and hold the pH of a product.

Sodium Lauroamphoacetate:

A very mild surfactant that is used to reduce the irritation potential of other surfactants. It has a gentle emulsifyying and solubilising action and produces a high level of foam. This is a natural, plant-based surfactant which may be derived from palm or coconut sources.

Sodium Palmate:

Sodium salt of fatty acids derived from the oil palm. It is a cleansing and emulsifying agent.

Sodium PCA:

Sodium PCA is the sodium salt of pyroglutamic acid (also known as PCA). PCA is a naturally occurring component of human skin and a part of the "natural moisturizing factors" (NMF) that maintain a healthy epidermis. Sodium PCA is very hygroscopic, attracting moisture from the air. It is rapidly biodegradable. It is sourced from all-natural, vegetable-based ingredients; it contains no animal-based ingredients of any kind.

Sodium Safflowerate:

Sodium Safflowerate is a sodium salt of the fatty acids derived from Carthamus Tinctorius(Safflower) Seed Oil.

Sorbitan Oleate:

Sorbitan Oleate is the monoester of oleic acid (a source of omegas) and hexitol anhydrides derived from sorbitol. It is primarily used as an emulsifier.

Sorbitol is a sugar alcohol derived from fruits, corn and seaweed. As a humectant, Sorbitol prevents moisture loss by pulling water by osmosis from the air, hydrating skin.

Soya Bean Oil:

Clinical and scientific studies both show that soy works to reduce blotchiness and discoloration by evening out the appearance of pigments within the skin’s surface. Soy proteins can also work to moisturize skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines. Vitamin-rich soybean oil has a small molecular structure which enables it to penetrate the epidermis – the top layer of your skin. Soy can actually nestle into the cellular structure and stimulate the synthesis of collagen, elastin, and other proteins. Its properties are important for cell growth and regeneration by reversing abnormal cell formations. Soy is naturally rich in Vitamin E, essential fatty acids, and lecithin which benefit the skin when applied topically. Soy contains phytoestrogens – plant estrogens, that help your skin cells rejuvenate.

Sugar cane derived squalane is highly bio-compatible, stable and super hydrating for the skin.

Sorbitan olivate:

Is a mixture of the fatty acids from olive oil plus a dehydrated sugar known as sorbitol. Combined with cetearyl olivate it forms a nonionic emulsifier that helps blend ingredients together. It moisturises and softens the skin.

Steraric Acid:

Stearic Acid is a fatty acid in this instance derived from vegetable fats. It is used as surfactant and emulsifier.

Sunflower Oil:

Sunflower Oil has high Amounts of Vitamins A, B, D and E, minerals, lecithin, insulin, unsaturated fatty acids, and by all accounts, it is a good product for the skin. It is rich in linoleic acid. The essential fatty acids found in this oil can help maintain the skin barrier and decrease trans-epidermal water loss. This oil has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties.

Tagetes Erectus Flower Extract:

The antiseptic, disinfectant, anti-biotic and antimicrobial properties of this oil helps in dealing with infections caused due to microbes like bacteria, virus and fungi. Tagetes oil restrains the biotic growth of similar organisms and helps in healing such skin conditions.

Titanium Dioxide:

It is sourced from ilmenite ore. Titanium Dioxide helps to provide coverage for your colour, it can act as a base in which to blend coloured iron oxides and micas.

Trifluoroacetyl Tripeptide-2:

Its high affinity imparts a non-greasy, silky feeling to the skin. Vegelane helps to relieve skin roughness and dryness.

Vitamin A Palmitate:

Vitamin A Palmitate is classified as a synthetic vitamin as it goes through several steps of synthesis that use a mixture of both naturally derived (vegetable) and chemically synthesised materials. None of the ingredients are animal derived. Vitamin A promotes the enzyme activity in the skin. It thickens the epidermis and can regenerate skin prematurely aged by UV-radiation. This product can also assist in increasing the skin's elasticity and the reversal of photodamage. Vitamin A is for cosmetic use only. By law, not more than 1% can be added to cosmetic formulations this is because high doses of vitamin A can cause long-term health problems. The amount used in most cosmetic formulations is generally safe under normal use conditions but pregnant women or those with skin problems would be wise to discuss vitamin A use with their doctor or dermatologist. Vitamin A use can also increase your skins sun sensitivity. Vitamin A Palmitate is synthetic.

Vitamin C Isopalmitate:

Ascorbyl Palmitate is the fat-soluble form of Vitamin C. Although it does have elements of water solubility, the fact that it is mainly fat-soluble means that it is more moisturizing and tends to have a longer-lasting effect than Ascorbic Acid does. It is able to target the membranes deeper and be stored for longer in the body and doesn’t oxidize as quickly as its water-soluble counterpart. Another benefit is its partnership with other vitamins such as A and E to make sure that they’re able to fight free radicals together at full strength.
